The Director will ensure fundraising programs are strategic, effective, <br />\nand aligned with organizational goals, supporting the broader development strategy set by the <br />\nVP of Development and CEO.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<u><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></u></p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Strategic Fund Development Leadership</strong><br />\n• Shape and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy that grows revenue, builds <br />\nAviva’s visibility, and deepens donor and community relationships.<br />\n• Lead Aviva’s individual giving program, including annual fund donors, stewardship <br />\nstrategies, and donor pipeline development.<br />\n• Develop and implement strategies to increase donor retention and acquisition, ensuring <br />\nyear-over-year revenue growth.<br />\n• Manage and lead the strategy for Aviva’s donor database (CRM) to ensure data integrity <br />\nand maximize the impact of fundraising communications.<br />\n• Collaborate with the VP of Development to establish and monitor performance metrics, <br />\nevaluate progress, and adjust strategies as needed.<br />\n• Help grow and sustain a culture of philanthropy across Aviva, engaging staff and <br />\nstakeholders in advancing development goals.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Portfolio &amp; Donor Management</strong><br />\n• Manage a portfolio of individual annual donors, with responsibility for cultivation, <br />\nsolicitation, and stewardship.<br />\n• Design and implement strategies to move donors through the pipeline, upgrading <br />\nannual donors toward major giving levels.<br />\n• Identify and qualify new prospects and create tailored engagement strategies.<br />\n• Ensure timely and accurate entry, acknowledgment, and reporting of all donor <br />\ninteractions.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Corporate &amp; Event Fundraising</strong><br />\n• Partner with the VP of Development to secure corporate sponsorships and business <br />\npartnerships.<br />\n• Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events (including Aviva’s gala), <br />\nensuring strong revenue results and meaningful donor experiences.<br />\n• Collaborate with the communications team to align fundraising campaigns and events <br />\nwith Aviva’s brand and messaging.</p>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>Leadership &amp; Collaboration</strong><br />\n• Supervise and mentor Development staff, fostering a culture of accountability, <br />\ninnovation, and collaboration.<br />\n• Provide strategies, tools, and staff support that enable organizational leadership (VP of <br />\nDevelopment and CEO) to engage the board and volunteers effectively in fundraising.<br />\n• Partner with program and communications staff to ensure fundraising strategies are <br />\naligned with Aviva’s mission and impact.<br />\n• Represent Aviva in philanthropic and community networks to strengthen visibility and <br />\npartnerships.<br />\n• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Development <br />\nDepartment and organizational goals.</p>",
