The AMC promotes the protection, enjoyment, and wise use of the mountains, rivers and trails of the Appalachian region. The AMC encourages the involvement of all people in its mission and activities, through its membership, programs, policies, and procedures. &nbsp;</p><p><br>&nbsp;Three Mile Island Camp (TMI) is a rustic retreat owned by the Appalachian Mountain Club. For over 120 years, the camp has provided guests with an opportunity to leave hectic, technology-dependent lives for a vacation in natural surroundings. The camp is a 43-acre island located on New Hampshire&rsquo;s Lake Winnipesaukee and is frequented by families, couples, and individuals who stay one or two weeks in simple, lakeshore cabins or tents. Guest&rsquo;s days are spent relaxing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, fishing, playing tennis, reading, and talking with others. The facilities include a main lodge, dock area, 51 lakeshore cabins and tents, outhouses and other buildings, boats and recreational equipment, and woods and walking paths. Three family-style meals are served daily. The camp is supported by a dedicated volunteer committee that provides management and operational oversight.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll be doing:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare, serve, and clean up after breakfast, lunch, and dinner &nbsp;</li><li>Clean outhouses and cabins, dining area and kitchen, make beds, etc.</li><li>Greet and assist campers when they arrive and throughout their stay</li><li>Answer questions and provide information about the island and the AMC</li></ul><p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li><li>Ability to work closely with a small crew</li><li>Friendly, outgoing manner, and commitment to public service</li><li>Physical ability to carry up to 40 pounds and lift 25 pounds from the floor to waist high</li><li>Restaurant or kitchen experience, desirable</li><li>First-aid certification, helpful</li><li>Lifeguard certification, helpful</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation and benefits:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Salary Range: $10.00/ hour (plus gratuity)</li><li>Onsite room and board + meals</li><li>Free use of AMC Destinations: 4 nights per year</li><li>Free annual AMC membership</li><li>Health Plan + Optional Vision + Dental Insurance: 30+ hours per week for 6+ months &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Matching 403(b): 4% with vesting schedule</li><li>Paid Sick Time: eligible to accrue up to 10 days</li></ul><p><strong>To Apply:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Please include a resume and cover letter.
