    "description": "<h2> </h2>\n<p>Weston & Sampson is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects across the Southeast. This position will play a key role in managing the development and delivery of DOT and local government transportation projects, including roadway widening, intersection improvements, corridor studies, and multimodal enhancements.</p>\n<h2> </h2>\n<p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and deliver transportation design projects in accordance with SCDOT and FHWA standards.</li>\n <li>Oversee the development of preliminary roadway plans, right-of-way plans, and final construction plans.</li>\n <li>Coordinate project activities including surveying, traffic engineering, hydraulics, utilities, and environmental compliance.</li>\n <li>Lead project scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.</li>\n <li>Serve as primary client liaison for DOT’s, counties, municipalities, and partner agencies.</li>\n <li>Supervise and mentor engineering staff, providing technical guidance and professional development.</li>\n <li>Review and approve plans, specifications, cost estimates, and QA/QC documentation.</li>\n <li>Participate in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and business development efforts.</li>\n <li>Support construction-phase services, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and field coordination.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, or Florida (or ability to obtain within 6 months).</li>\n <li>Minimum 10+ years of experience in roadway, bridge and transportation project design and management.</li>\n <li>Proven track record managing DOT county and/or municipal roadway design projects from concept through PS&E.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of DOT Design Manuals, AASHTO standards, MUTCD, and project delivery processes.</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing subconsultants.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-HYBRID</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Innovative and reliable for more than a century, Weston & Sampson strives to make the world a better place through interdisciplinary design, engineering, and environmental services.
