This is a very visible hospitality role and one that includes a high level of attention to detail, very friendly service, focus on cost control and waste management, and a sense of urgency in all matters. The person filling this role is an ambassador of all the core values of Summit Hospitality Group where <em><strong>“Service is the Ultimate Amenity”.</strong></em></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in hotel/restaurant with major brand, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, preferred.</li><li>Exceptional people skills: ability to train others quickly and efficiently.</li><li>Proficient with inventory control and waste management.</li><li>Professional communication skills both verbal and written (English Proficiency).</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Arrive at work at normally around 5:00 am or 6:00 am depending upon opening for breakfast. This first hour is devoted to all aspects of breakfast preparation.</li><li>Prepare all standard hotel varieties of coffee: regular, robust, decaf and hot water for tea.</li><li>Stock coffee stations: creamers, sugar options, cups, lids, stirrers, and napkins; and restock as necessary during shift.</li><li>Prepare hot foods which includes: heating of cooked frozen foods in a convection oven (egg, meat, carbohydrate options each day) to appropriate temperatures. Once foods are at correct temperature, place in buffet line chafing dishes. Oatmeal/hot cereal is prepared in crock pot and placed in buffet line.</li><li>Prepare waffle batter and fill dispenser if applicable.</li><li>Set up bakery items with muffins, danish, and breads.&nbsp;</li><li>Set up cold items with cut fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, milk, etc.</li><li>Monitor food levels and refresh as necessary, clears and cleans breakfast dishes.</li><li>Greet guests during frequent visits to eating area.</li><li>At the close of breakfast, break down and clean breakfast serving areas and clean breakfast area guest tables.</li><li>Exposed food items are thrown out; dishes are washed and set up for next day. Counter tops are cleaned/floors vacuumed and mopped by breakfast host/hostess.</li><li>Food deliveries may be made 2-3 times per week.
