    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The EP technologist will assist with procedures, &nbsp;scheduling, training, &nbsp;consistent with institutional policy and procedure, evidence based medicine and industry standards.&nbsp;<br>1. Will demonstrate a sound knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias, EP monitoring system including the stimulator, ablator, 3D mapping systems, &nbsp;and X-ray equipment.<br>2. Cognizant of emergency situations, recognizes lethal arrhythmias and other complications, capable of assisting the team in these situations.<br>3. &nbsp;Will demonstrate in depth knowledge and critical skills of the instrumentation during EP, and invasive cardiac procedures and assist the Cardiologist and team utilizing established aseptic and sterile technique. &nbsp;Proper disposal of all sharps and Biohazard Materials.<br>4. Will provide radiation safety to all who enter. &nbsp;Will maintain lead apron and radiation badge detection quality assurance program. &nbsp;Maintains environment integrity for a sanitary, cost effective, and time efficient Cardiac Lab.<br>5. Will demonstrate the ability to maintain inventory par levels and avoid critical lows. &nbsp;Will contact Lead Tech or Cardiac Lab Manager for assistance with unfamiliar orders, but will be aware of critical low.<br>6. Will demonstrate in depth knowledge of all Radiology and EP equipment in the EP/Cardiac Lab with ability to troubleshoot problems and place a service call. &nbsp;Will Maintain records for service of all equipment. Will insure that all medical records are accurately labeled and stored.<br>7. Will demonstrate knowledge of inventory and supply ordering system, to accurately enter patient procedure and equipment charges and reorder supplies.<br>8. Competent in the use of the unit's radiology, 3-D mapping and ablation equipment, interventional cardiology equipment, the hemodynamic monitoring system and storage of patient images in the medical record system.</p><p>Preferred:<br>Minium 2 years experience in EP/Cath Lab/OR or other sterile procedure area&nbsp;<br>Hands on knowledge of IVUS/OCT, Impella, CardioLab, 3D mapping systems (Carto and/or St Jude) and ablation equipment</p><p>May compile objective and measurable data and produce reports. &nbsp;May require operating knowledge of specific clinical areas such as Laboratory, Pharmacy or computer science. &nbsp;May require in-depth knowledge of work performed by various clerical, service or medical areas in order to provide guidance or supervision. Knowledge of Medical Terminology and JCAHO requirements. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
