This role ensures compliance with evidence-based practices, regulatory standards and organizational policies.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Infection Prevention Program Management</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based infection prevention practices and hospital policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement isolation precautions and educate staff and providers on infectious disease management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct annual infection prevention risk assessments and develop the Infection Prevention Plan.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate quarterly Infection Prevention Committee meetings, prepare agendas, and present findings.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Surveillance and Reporting</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collect, analyze, and trend infection data; submit required reports to NHSN and other regulatory bodies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Investigate healthcare-associated infections, complaints, and bloodborne pathogen exposures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Communicate with public health agencies and providers regarding reportable diseases.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Regulatory Compliance &amp; Quality Improvement</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure compliance with APIC, OSHA, CDC, CMS, DNV standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with department managers to develop infection control indicators for quality improvement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives with Pharmacy and Laboratory leadership.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work with Facilities and Safety Committees to implement corrective actions and maintain safe environments.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Major Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement and monitor efficient tactics to carry out the core responsibilities of the position.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensures compliance with applicable standards of care, regulatory requirements, conditions of participation, etc. for department functions; develops department policies and procedures.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Monitors performance to goals, plans and requirements through regular reporting mechanisms; assesses performance and adjusts plans as needed to achieve goals.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide appropriate communication of the procedural standards to all employees, conduct orientation and training programs</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Screen new employees for infection preventable vaccinations as per CDC, OSHA or State requirements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Track information regarding employee injuries and health issues.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate employee wellness activities such as flu shots, lab tests, etc.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work closely with public health to alert staff to public health issues and coordinate efforts in a public health emergency.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Track information regarding infectious disease issues, including healthcare associated infections, etc.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinates and chairs the Infectious Diseases Committee.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Perform regular surveillance / audits of ICP procedures.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Schedule</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Monday through Friday, day shift hours, with occasional evenings or Saturdays for special education programming events or educational instructions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Educational Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prior clinical experience preferred; Infection Prevention experience strongly preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong analytical, communication &amp; organizational skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">BLS required; must be willing to obtain within 3 months of hire.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
