    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY:</span></p>\n<p>The Seasonal Intern position is designed to provide seasonal workforce development opportunities for high school and college students (ages 16 and older). Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting Public Works, Utilities, Housing, and community operations while developing practical skills in infrastructure and maintenance of facilities. This program introduces participants to potential career pathways in construction, engineering, utilities, and related fields.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </span></p>\n<p>Duties are assigned based on experience, and ability to perform.</p>\n<p>Interns will work under direct supervision.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with general maintenance of community buildings and grounds</li>\n<li>Support cleaning, organization, and upkeep of public facilities</li>\n<li>Assist with lawn care, vegetation management, and seasonal grounds work</li>\n<li>Support basic roadway, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance activities</li>\n<li>Assist with minor repairs such as painting, basic carpentry, and equipment cleaning</li>\n<li>Observe and assist (as appropriate) with water and wastewater operations</li>\n<li>Assist with tool organization, inventory, and equipment maintenance</li>\n<li>Participate in community improvement projects and special assignments</li>\n<li>Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and supervisor direction</li>\n<li>Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LEARNING &amp; DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES: </span></p>\n<p>Interns will be exposed to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public Works operations and infrastructure systems</li>\n<li>Basic construction and maintenance practices</li>\n<li>Safe use of tools and equipment</li>\n<li>Workplace safety standards and expectations</li>\n<li>Tribal government operations and community service</li>\n<li>Career pathways in skilled trades, utilities, and public service</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be at least 16 years of age</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be currently enrolled in high school, technical school, or college</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to perform basic physical work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Willingness to learn and participate in assigned tasks</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to walk, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to safely use tools under supervision</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">(No heavy equipment operation unless 18 or older and meet training, and supervision requirements)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED TRAINING</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Workplace safety orientation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">PPE training</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Harassment and respectful workplace training Job-specific safety instruction</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">WORKING ENVIRONMENT </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments and may include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Exposure to weather conditions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Dust, noise, and light construction activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Interaction with Public Works, Utilities, and Housing operations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">DURATION &amp; SCHEDULE</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Seasonal employment (typically May through August)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Flexible scheduling based on school calendar</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Up to 40 hours per week (may vary based on age and availability)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">DISCLAIMER AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">All employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
