We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Clinical Information Systems Business Analyst works closely with project managers, clinical application teams, trainers, and operational stakeholders to document operational processes and to identify opportunities for improving processes and technical application workflows. The business analyst plays a key role between clinical stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs and objectives into technology solutions. This role assesses problem statements, conducts analysis, and validates requirements to design a successful solution.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time, salaried position.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Document requirements and serve as liaison between clinical stakeholders and clinical application teams, identifying and resolving gaps</li>\n <li>Document business cases; identify opportunities for standardization, future enhancements and modifications</li>\n <li>Document workflows to determine and document both current-state and future state processes, workflow diagrams and requirements.</li>\n <li>Document how enhancements and solutions positively contribute to overarching strategy</li>\n <li>Analyze and investigate complex problems to identify solutions, facilitate decisions, and develop a plan to implement</li>\n <li>Document changes and impacts to users</li>\n <li>Create and enact communication plans to assist with change management.</li>\n <li>Work closely with project managers and analysts to provide operational support: Conducts project impact analysis on operational and system workflows, facilitates design improvements, creates testing scenarios and conducts testing and validation including user acceptance validation.</li>\n <li>Provides project management for smaller projects following project management methodologies</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a health related field, or computer science, or EPIC certification in related area of focus, or equivalent years of experience in healthcare IT.</li>\n <li>Certification in Health IT course within 3 months of employment.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Strong writing skills and ability to produce clear and unambiguous documentation</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders</li>\n <li>Proficient creating diagrams and process flows in Visio or similar software</li>\n <li>Experience solving complex problems with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities</li>\n <li>Experience identifying and documenting requirements and working with a team to develop and implement solutions</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competent internal consulting skills and experience to bridge the gap between technology and clinical stakeholders to enable organizations to make effective decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Project or product management experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $93,164.00 to $139,713.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.  Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Most Fred Hutch jobs require some on-campus work. However, there may be flexibility for certain positions.
