Job Description The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for reviewing the safety standards and practices of all personnel on Vanir's projects. This individual has functional knowledge of OSHA and worker safety regulations with respect to construction operations, experience with developing Construction Site Safety Plans, Injury Illness Prevention Plans, and is knowledgeable of construction, occupational and environmental health and safety standards, and best practices. This role serves as the face of Vanir's safety programs and ensures the industry standards for safety are maintained at Vanir. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Requires the experience and knowledge to observe and report on tactical day-to-day safety, health and related operations Perform site and office safety inspections and inspect safety equipment Requires the knowledge and ability to develop and implement site specific health and safety plans in according to legal guidelines Ensure contractor compliance regarding safety and health requirements Participate in fact finding cause analysis for injury/incident investigations and prepare incident and injury reports Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures Research safety and environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance Assist with managing and updating all site and corporate safety documentation Compile materials for safety meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention Manage and distribute PPE Requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance on the review of construction safety and potential project risk issues Travel up to 10% Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Environment Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent technical area of study is preferred 6+ years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in safety is preferred OSHA-30 Certified Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies Valid Driver's license is required Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations Benefits Vanir offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that includes 401(k) Savings with employer matching contributions, medical, dental, vision, health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions, life, AD&D and disability benefits, flexible spending account (FSA), voluntary benefits, Teladoc, pet insurance, paid time off, national employee assistance program (EAP) and employee referral program.
