    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Title</strong>: Senior Advisor – Metabolic Health</p>\n<p><strong>Hours:</strong> 5–10 hours per week</p>\n<p><strong>Assignment Duration:</strong> April 2026 – March 31, 2027</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote</p>\n<p><strong>Salary:</strong> $96.59 - $102.00 per Hour </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary Purpose of the Role</strong></p>\n<p>To provide clinical and research expertise on metabolic health, GLP‑1 therapies, and health economics.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in meetings with SCMG‑DDI staff.</li>\n <li>Advise on clinical design features and access criteria for GLP‑1s.</li>\n <li>Provide expertise on most recent clinical, market, and research trends.</li>\n <li>Provide SME feedback on ICIPs, RFAs, policy documents, and model materials.</li>\n <li>Offer expert interpretation of GLP‑1 evidence and health economic implications.</li>\n <li>Advise on methodological credibility and interpretation of findings.</li>\n <li>Inform staff on emerging GLP‑1 literature, cardiometabolic research, and clinical best practices.</li>\n <li>Advise on epidemiologic and economic considerations affecting utilization and access.</li>\n <li>SME guidance on clinical access criteria and value‑based prioritization for GLP‑1 therapies.</li>\n <li>Presentations summarizing latest GLP‑1 evidence (clinical outcomes, utilization trends).</li>\n <li>Expert review of policy documents, external communications, and guidance materials.</li>\n <li>Support development of briefing papers related to GLP‑1 utilization, payment, and trends.</li>\n <li>Engagement in dissemination efforts to clinical and research communities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>M.D.</strong> with specialization in <strong>Cardiology</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>In addition to the medical degree, completion of graduate level education (Master’s or higher) in one or more of the following areas:</p>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Health Economics</li>\n  <li>Health Services Research</li>\n  <li>Pharmacoeconomics</li>\n  <li>Health Policy</li>\n  <li>or related fields</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>15+ years of relevant professional experience</li>\n <li>Publication record in peer‑reviewed journals on GLP‑1s</li>\n <li>Engagement with professional societies (e.g., <strong>AHA, ACC, SGIM</strong>)</li>\n <li>Demonstrated expertise in cardiometabolic disease and GLP‑1 pharmacotherapy</li>\n <li>Ability to evaluate population‑level utilization and access impacts</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active license as a practicing cardiologist</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
