Description
RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology APP team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing both inpatient and outpatient services. In the inpatient setting, the APP works as a team with the attending cardiologist to perform and staff initial consults, subsequent follow up visits and to coordinate patient care. In the outpatient setting, the APP will see patients independently in the cardiology clinic. Outreach clinic may also be expected. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 hr shifts or 10hr shifts for total of 40 hr per week. Occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
If a Physician Assistant :
Current registration to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota plus current national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant & Approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges (verified during credentialing process)
If a Nurse Practitioner :
Currently licensed as a APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing Currently licensed as a RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing AANP certification Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA certification (verified during credentialing process

Communicates regularly with partner Inpatient APP to coordinate consult services and to balance workloads. Assists in the assignment of residents and students as necessary.

Discusses and develops diagnosis and treatment plan with staff cardiologists.

Work environment includes the inpatient nursing units and the clinic setting. Stands 4-6 hours and walks 2-4 hours daily while performing duties. May view a computer screen for up to 3 hours a day. May lift, push or pull equipment up to 50 lbs. Must be able to transport self throughout the hospital. Must be able to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination.

Office Environment : May be exposed to printer/copier cartridges, no extreme conditions.

"ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology APP team and make a difference for our patients and our community.</p><p>The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing both inpatient and outpatient services. In the inpatient setting, the APP works as a team with the attending cardiologist to perform and staff initial consults, subsequent follow up visits and to coordinate patient care. In the outpatient setting, the APP will see patients independently in the cardiology clinic. Outreach clinic may also be expected. Performs other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Work Schedule</strong>: Monday-Friday, 8 hr shifts or 10hr shifts for total of 40 hr per week. Occasional weekends.</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong>:</p><p>Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program</p><p><strong>If a Physician Assistant</strong>:</p><p>Current registration to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota plus current national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant & Approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges (verified during credentialing process)</p><p><strong>If a Nurse Practitioner</strong>:</p><ul><li>Currently licensed as a APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing</li><li>Currently licensed as a RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing</li><li>AANP certification</li><li><p>Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA certification
