    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Six Flags Great America is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrician. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and capability to repair and maintain existing electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, wiring and controls as well as the ability to install or modify electrical systems, controls and components.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong> Job Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Repair, install and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems, controls, lighting fixtures, kitchen equipment, heating systems, power stations, vehicles and ride equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical apparatus.</li>\n <li>Install or modify electrical systems and components. </li>\n <li>Update drawings and schematic diagrams and assist in the selection of electrical components and material. </li>\n <li>Assist with Park Operation responsibilities as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will possess the following: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED with a Trade School certification or currently in a trade program. </li>\n <li>Must be able to perform, or be willing to learn, the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Troubleshoot various electrical problems on rides, controls, and electrical equipment.</li>\n   <li>Install and bend all types of piping systems.</li>\n   <li>Work from schematic wiring diagrams.</li>\n   <li>Use testing instruments related to electrical work.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Must be familiar with current electrical codes. </li>\n <li>Must provide hand tools for daily use.</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb and work at various heights and some heavy lifting may be required.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li><strong>This is a full-time position and the candidate must be willing to work varied shifts and flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</strong></li>\n</ul>",
