    "requisitionDescription": "<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Job Description</span></strong></p><p>Under direct guidance and / or supervision of the primary operative surgeon, assists in the perioperative care of patients, in surgery, and performs duties as assigned.</p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Essential Duties and responsibilities</span></h1><ul><li>Assist in patient positioning</li><li>Placement of pneumatic tourniquet</li><li>Urinary catheter placement</li><li>Prepping of the surgical site</li><li>Drapes patient within surgeon&rsquo;s guidelines</li><li>Assists in maintaining hemostasis by direct pressure, use and application of appropriate surgical instruments for the task, placement of ties and suture ligatures, application of chemical hemostatic agents, or other measures as directed by the surgeon</li><li>Assist in retracting tissues per surgeon&rsquo;s directive</li><li>Use of electrocautery both monopolar and bipolar</li><li>Clamp, ligation and cutting of tissue, per surgeon&rsquo;s directive</li><li>Assist in placement and suturing of surgical drains</li><li>Closure of all wound layers (fascia, subcutaneous and skin) as per surgeon&rsquo;s directive</li><li>Prepare ACL graft as directed by the surgeon</li><li>Assists in Laparoscopic procedures with camera and instrumentation</li><li>Assists in orthopedic surgery either open or arthroscopic</li><li>Assists with CPR of patient, during a cardiac arrest</li><li>Maintains and updates his/ her knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment</li><li>May take call after assigned working hours to assist attending surgeons in urgent or emergency surgical procedures</li><li>Maintain an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology</li><li>Must be able to gown and glove self-using open or closed gloving technique</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique in relation to the procedure and the operating field</li><li>These are essential functions; however, they may not be all inclusive or limited by the guidelines and or directions of the primary surgeon or medical facility</li></ul><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Other Responsibilities</span></h1><ol><li>Performs other related duties as required.</li><li>Maintains established practice/ hospital policies, procedures, directives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards appropriate to the position.</li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of and models the mission and core values of the Corporation through behavior and attitude.</li></ol><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Physical, Mental, Environmental Requirements</span></h1><p>In all cases of physical requirements, appropriate reasonable accommodations should and will be considered, whenever possible, to allow position incumbent to accomplish identified essential functions in an alternate manner.</p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Physical</span></h2><p>Ability to walk or stand for up to 80% of work time, and to push /pull equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds for up to 20% of work tune.</p><h2><br></h2><p><br></p><p><br></p>\n",
