As a Transit Project Director, you will be at the forefront of driving success, managing a projects contract to ensure seamless execution from start to finish. With your expertise across heavy rail, light rail, and/or bus rapid transit, you will oversee the budget, coordinate project personnel, and maintain a production schedule that guarantees timely delivery and exceptional quality. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to align project goals with owner expectations, adhering to contract specifications and upholding the highest standards. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Apply now and transform your career with us. </p>\n<h2>What you will be doing</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages all aspects of the project, including construction, budget and cash management for a single assigned project to ensure compliance with the project contract and owner needs.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Produces the project schedule, pay estimates, project procedures, and equipment resources needed to complete accurate and timely project production. Works with external managing partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs) to develop one unified project plan, if applicable. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops and manages the project organizational chart and Company and/or JV supporting staff assignments for each phase of production, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of project objectives. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides technical insight to project pursuits and participates in bid interviews, as necessary. Assesses the initial project contract and works with the owner to resolve specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issues. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Engages with all project stakeholders proactively, including managing partners, joint venture Executive Board, federal authorities such as Senators, Mayors, or Commissioners, local landowners, business owners, and regulatory bodies that will have influence over project success. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinates with the construction management team to identify project risks and negotiate change orders with the owner to ensure efficient and effective project production. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversees project and construction management to accurately update the project construction schedule and adjust for any change orders from the Owner. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Presents monthly project reports to Executive Leadership. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Supports and promotes project safety by ensuring compliance with the project safety program, safety procedures, and owner safety policies. Reviews weekly safety reports and participates in monthly safety review meetings with project personnel. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Directs construction management decisions regarding staff and equipment needs, ensuring cost containment with subcontractors and equipment billing. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Resolves disputes with the project owner in a timely and compliant manner. Engages Company legal counsel and Executive leadership, where necessary. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient and effective project production. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Leads project closeout procedures, finalizing contract paperwork, obtaining retainages, and working with management to resolve any project claims. Leads project debrief cycles to review all aspects of project work and completion. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>15+ years’ experience in construction project management required, along with 10+ years’ experience in managing personnel.</li>\n <li>Experience working on Joint Venture (JV) Transit construction projects (heavy rail, light rail, and/or bus rapid transit) required. A prior positive working relationship with LA Metro is highly desirable; experience with other major transit agencies is also relevant.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in alternative and collaborative delivery projects required, including design build, progressive design build, CMGC and/or CMAR.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills proven to engage and retain positive working relationships.</li>\n <li>Strong proven skill to identify, track and manage project risk.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timeline.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to identify growth opportunities for project personnel and developed to coach and mentor project personnel.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to delegate task driven responsibilities to project personnel.</li>\n <li>Proven knowledge and ability to analyze and interpret financial documentation to identify and mitigate project risk.</li>\n <li>Effective delegation skills to drive efficient, accurate and profitable project completion.</li>\n <li>Strong internal branding and sales knowledge to constantly promote yourself and the Company brand.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why work for us</h2>\n<p>Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program</li>\n <li>Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP</li>\n <li>Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical</li>\n <li>Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.</p>\n<h2>Salary Min</h2>USD $230,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Salary Max</h2>USD $300,000.00/Yr.",
