We are focused on building the nation’s largest and most comprehensive eye care practices and currently operate more than 100 eye care centers in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada, and Texas – including 25 ambulatory surgical centers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you'll be responsible for providing anesthesia care in the operating suite and pre-operative area. This is a per diem role and will operate out of our Barnet Dulaney Perkins surgical center located at 2242 West 16th Street. Schedule is every Wednesday.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Function as a member of the operating room team.</li>\n <li>Provide information and emotional support to patients and their families.</li>\n <li>Formulate an appropriate and safe anesthetic care plan for each patient utilizing the history, physical, laboratory data, discussion with patients, and any source of information that will aid in its development</li>\n <li>Provide anesthesia care utilizing one or more of the following techniques: retrobulbar, topical, local infiltration, intravenous sedation and/or analgesia.</li>\n <li>If appropriate, management of or assisting the physician and staff in the management of any clinical emergency in the surgery suite or eye clinic.</li>\n <li>Participate in planning for peri-operative patient care with physicians and nursing staff.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and complete records of each patient's anesthesia.</li>\n <li>Alert the person responsible for restocking anesthesia supplies when items are needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of anesthesia</li>\n <li>Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona</li>\n <li>Must have current certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists</li>\n <li>Must have current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support</li>\n <li>Should have a thorough knowledge of the techniques of administering ophthalmic anesthesia</li>\n <li>A minimum of one year experience and/or demonstrated skills in peri-orbital anesthesia.</li>\n <li>Should have knowledge of intravenous sedation administration</li>\n <li>Should possess above-average skills in communication, decision-making, diplomacy, confidentiality, initiative, and ethics</li>\n <li>Must have no physical or psychological impairment that would limit their ability to administer safe anesthesia</li>\n <li>Attendance of the Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society annual meeting is encouraged</li>\n</ul>\n<p>FOR MORE INFORMATION, please contact Brian O.
