In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the United States Customs and Border Protection. We are looking for a talented and experienced Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, development, and management. As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining robust and scalable database systems to support our applications and business needs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and implement database solutions to support various applications and business processes.</li><li>Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to ensure high performance and reliability.</li><li>Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.</li><li>Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.</li><li>Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, identifying and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.</li><li>Perform database maintenance tasks, such as backups, indexing, and updates.</li><li>Document database designs, configurations, and procedures for reference and training purposes.</li><li>Stay current with the latest database technologies and best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 3+ years of experience</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience creating complex SQL in complex data environments</li><li>Strong experience troubleshooting and tuning SQL</li><li>Team-focused approach</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle and DB2 (or at least one of these)</li><li>Experience in government environment<br>Experience in database administration</li></ul><p><strong>Security Clearance</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Active CBP Clearance or DHS Top Secret Clearance.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>More About B&amp;A:</strong></p><p><em><strong>Notable Clients</strong></em><br>B&amp;A has grown to be a company that is trusted by our clients for exceptional service, innovative solutions, and inspired employees.
