Position:
Upper School LEAP and Co-Curricular Coordinator
Term:
1 year (August 2026- July 2027)
Reports to:
Assistant Head of School (Enrichment) & MS Vice-Principal (LEAP)
Position summary:
The LEAP and Co-Curricular Coordinator supports the development of the Middle and Senior School co-curricular programme (Grades 6-12) and the Middle School LEAP elective programme (Grades 6-9).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to the following:
Co-Curricular Programme Leadership:
In collaboration with student leaders and teachers , develop a broad, enriching and sustainable programme of co-curricular opportunities for students in Grades 6 to 12, monitor its success (value, effectiveness and student engagement) and initiate change when required
Continue to use Toddle to collect data for co-curricular attendance to effectively track, analyze, and report on student participation rates.
Partner with the Senior School Vice Principal in co-leading the Student Council to monitor ongoing co-curricular activities and provide strategic support for incoming student proposals.
Work with the MS & SS leadership teams and other key staff to help to identify, lead, facilitate and sustain core and ongoing US co-curricular clubs and activities
Support and encourage US students and faculty who wish to develop new co-curricular opportunities and activities
Develop and support a core staff team (teachers and support staff) who will help oversee and support a range of activities as part of their co-curricular commitment
Develop communications resources and a social media presence to promote our co-curricular programmes
Work closely with the CAS Coordinators and Head of GEx to ensure alignment of programmes, activities and philosophy
Identify and create relationships and partnerships with key local external organisations that will provide ongoing opportunities for Mulgrave students
Work with the Junior School leadership team to ensure that the G6-12 co-curricular programme builds upon the experience of students in the Junior School
Work with Middle and Senior Principals for support with teacher chaperone allocation
LEAP Programme Leadership:
Work closely with the MS Principal and Vice Principals to support the LEAP programme
Develop and maintain a LEAP elective guide and communications resources to promote and advertise our LEAP programmes
Liaise with the school timetable coordinator to support student registration
Support with the development of the LEAP timetable and teacher allocation
Support with student scheduling for LEAP electives following registration periods
Develop and support a core staff team (teachers and support staff) who will help oversee and support a range of LEAP activities
Identify and create and support ongoing relationships and partnerships with key local external organisations that will provide ongoing opportunities for Mulgrave students
Evaluate the impact, effectiveness and value (and quality assurance) of LEAP programming, and initiate change as required.
Monitor the participation and engagement of students in LEAP activities, both in and out of school
Meet with students to discuss LEAP elective planning and changes
This position carries a stipend of $5,000 and a time allocation of 3 hours per cycle.
