    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interaction with design/product teams to plan and execute MOCVD growths aimed at realizing next generation and newly conceived epitaxial designs and structures.</li>\n <li>Develop and execute DOE’s to define and optimize MOCVD process windows. Areas of improvement include capability, yield, throughput, and/or costs.</li>\n <li>Work with Equipment Engineers to help identify and design reactor hardware modifications or MOCVD process changes as needed in support of new process development.</li>\n <li>Presentation of development results and assigned manufacturing-based metrics to senior management, to internal interdisciplinary based teams, and to external customers.</li>\n <li>Apply engineering and manufacturing principles to transition epi designs from development to pilot production. Support parametric analysis as needed for yield/performance issues.<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Masters degree or higher in engineering, physics, or chemistry, and 5+ years of related experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with Quality Management System</li>\n <li>Solid State Device Physics background in Optoelectronic devices required</li>\n <li>5-10 years of epitaxial growth in a production environment preferred</li>\n <li>Experience under ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management System</li>\n <li>Experience with SPC, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing</li>\n <li>Experience with statistical software packages&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Proficient with MS Office Software</li>\n <li>Knowledge of SQL preferred</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with SPC, Gage R&amp;R, DOE, MSA and other aspects of manufacturing and data analysis.&nbsp; JMP experience a plus</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts and results to multidisciplinary teams</li>\n <li>Background in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, electronic engineering preferred but not essential.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Working Conditions</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working conditions are normal for an office environment and non-climate controlled manufacturing facility</li>\n <li>Must be able to travel domestically 5% of the time and internationally 5% of the time.<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to wear clean room attire for a Class 100/1000 clean room.</li>\n <li>Able to stand for 5 hours a day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
