    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Mechanical Maintenance Technician&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></p><p>Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility by performing the following duties. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet&rsquo;s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.</p><p><strong><u>Principle Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment and performs routine, scheduled designated preventative maintenance.&nbsp;</li><li>Discusses machine operation variations with management or production workers to diagnose equipment problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.&nbsp;</li><li>Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.&nbsp;</li><li>Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor the progress of maintenance activities for effective compliance with maintenance plan.&nbsp;</li><li>Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Respond to inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Repairs hand tool equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops and conducts interior painting on an annual schedule.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts minor plumbing work as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts minor building repairs as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Cleans, organizes and assist in all custodial work as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Conducts inspections of facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering.&nbsp;</li><li>Repairs and maintains physical interior structure of establishment.&nbsp;</li><li>Manages and control spare part and facility maintenance inventory.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Qualification Requirements</u></strong></p><p><strong>Credentials/Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li><li>2 to 4 years of experience&nbsp;</li><li>Forklift operator&rsquo;s license is required;&nbsp;</li><li>Driver&rsquo;s License is required;&nbsp;</li><li>Journeyman&rsquo;s card is desirable.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of CNC machine operation PMs.&nbsp;</li><li>Use and knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge and use of test equipment such as multi-meters.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of HVAC.&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of manufacturing equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Office&nbsp;and excellent data entry skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently and exercise judgment&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Other Requirements&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
