This position involves assembling and erecting pre-engineered and structural steel buildings in industrial settings such as manufacturing facilities, warehouses and processing plants. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong foundation in steel erection, safety compliance and journeyman-level trade skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Proficiencies:</span></p>\n<p>Level 4 Journeymen Ironworkers must be proficient in the items below.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Ironworker Proficiencies</li>\n<li>Roof Curbs</li>\n<li>Temp Bracing</li>\n<li>Racking – Squaring / Plumbing / Detailing</li>\n<li>Material Delivery and Inventory</li>\n<li>Building Shake out and Staging</li>\n<li>Understanding Weld Symbols</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Steel Shapes</li>\n<li>Calculating Weights and Crane Loads</li>\n<li>Drafting Pick Plans</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and interpret industrial blueprints, erection drawings and specifications to determine layout and installation sequence.</li>\n<li>Erect and align structural steel frameworks, including columns, rafters, beams, girders and cross-bracing.</li>\n<li>Bolt, weld or rivet steel components using appropriate tools and techniques.</li>\n<li>Install metal wall panels, insulated roof systems, purlins, girts and sheeting for pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs)</li>\n<li>Work with cranes, aerial lifts, rigging gear and other heavy equipment to position steel safely and accurately.</li>\n<li>Perform layout work using transits, lasers and levels to ensure alignment.</li>\n<li>Work at heights using a harness/lanyard and fall protection equipment.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with riggers and heavy equipment operators during complex installations.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot issues during erection and adapt to site-specific conditions and challenges.</li>\n<li>Maintain a clean and safe job site by following OSHA, SCI and client specific safety regulations and policies.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand signage, safety notices, SDS, product warnings and directions, etc.</li>\n<li>Able to choose and use proper PPE</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Position Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n<li>Reliable transportation</li>\n<li>Ability to travel to jobsite, up to one hour</li>\n<li>Punctuality</li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including various weather conditions</li>\n<li>Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding</li>\n<li>Work at heights (in lifts and on roofs)</li>\n<li>Don and wear a harness and lanyard</li>\n<li>Work while stooping over</li>\n<li>Work on hands and knees</li>\n<li>Stand for extended periods</li>\n<li>Walk for extended periods</li>\n<li>Have dexterity to operate hand and power tools and handle materials</li>\n<li>Work with arms overhead</li>\n<li>Ability to wear a respirator (to be fit tested by employer)</li>\n<li>Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Working Conditions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indoor / outdoor construction environments</li>\n<li>Exposure to loud noise, high elevations, extreme temperatures, and hazardous materials</li>\n<li>May involve heights, confined spaces and heavy equipment</li>\n<li>SCI and client specific PPE (personal protective equipment) required</li>\n</ul>",
