Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) Job Classification: Exempt Job Status: Full-time Reports to: Senior Director, Payer Relations Purpose: The Clinical Account Manager is a strategic clinical leader responsible for developing and advancing PANTHERx’s clinical value proposition across our PBM, health plan, consultants, employer groups, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and pharmaceutical manufacturer market access teams. This position plays a critical role in resolving complex patient access challenges through clinical expertise, payer strategy acumen, and collaborative engagement. This position requires a proactive, self-directed clinical professional adept at influencing both internal and external stakeholders, navigating the access landscape, and driving initiatives that enhance patient access to rare therapies. The Clinical Account Manager also serves as a key contributor to high‑impact clinical presentations and strategic discussions across the payer, PBM, manufacturer, and IDN ecosystem. Responsibilities: Collaborates with PBMs, health plans, employers, consultants, IDNs, and high-impact manufacturer market access teams to resolve complex patient access and reimbursement challenges using clinical expertise and payer strategy as well as maintaining long-term relationships with client-decision makers. Compiles, analyzes, and presents strategic payer data insights to manufacturer market access partners and co-develops market access strategies that strengthen long-term, high-value manufacturer relationships. Gathers and analyzes clinical, quality, and operational metrics to support decision-making, inform internal strategy, and provide payer-focused Quarterly Business Reviews. Develops and delivers PANTHERx’s clinical value narrative by synthesizing clinical data, outcomes, and real‑world evidence for strategic customer discussions. Leads the creation, maintenance, and strategic positioning of payer‑facing materials including documents for rate negotiations, rate justifications, expanded indications, and NDC changes in partnership with internal implementation and cross-functional internal teams. Prepares and delivers customized clinical value and outcomes presentations for business reviews, strategic planning meetings, and executive level discussions. Understands clients' clinical questions and brings information back to the organization to feed into the ongoing development of PANTHERx’s clinical value proposition. Collaborates with internal teams to understand specific problems with payer rare disease coverage. Conducts regular account reviews and develops strategic account plans aligned with clients' rare disease pharmacy needs. Remains updated on industry trends, clinical landscape for specific drug categories and market dynamics. Represents PANTHERx at national and regional industry events, conferences, and forums to elevate the company’s clinical expertise, strengthen partnerships, and showcase research and program outcomes when applicable. Required Qualifications: PharmD degree. Clinical residency or minimum five year’s clinical experience. Working knowledge of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy supply chain. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for client meetings, industry events, and on-site partner meetings at our corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. Work Environment: This position operates in a home and professional office environment. When in-office this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and communications via MS Teams. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, sit, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands and finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
