    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Long Prairie Packaging, LLC</strong>, an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for an <strong>Operations Manager</strong> at our Long Prairie plant.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily activities of the supervisors throughout the assigned production process to ensure efficient production of wholesome quality products, the safety of our staff that employees follow established rules and procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an <strong>Operations Manager</strong> you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate with off shift to know what is needed to successfully complete the scheduled production needs; Advise department employees of work to be completed daily.</li>\n <li>Assist superintendents with their individual scheduling needs.</li>\n <li>Be able to communicate with superiors and subordinates to accomplish desired results.</li>\n <li>Assist in the problem-solving process with all supervisors, superiors, and subordinates.</li>\n <li>Conduct productive staff meetings.</li>\n <li>Receive and resolve operation problems for shift.</li>\n <li>Reduce costs and increase yields through direct involvement and delegated responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Enforce and apply all company policies, safety, and food safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Enforce and apply all SQF policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Monitor performance of supervisors and complete annual reviews.</li>\n <li>Support superintendent in training supervisors.</li>\n <li>Encourage teamwork, training, and learning.</li>\n <li>Attend Company safety and production meetings.</li>\n <li>Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.</li>\n <li>Apply and enforce all company policies.</li>\n <li>Assist with discipline and employee evaluations.</li>\n <li>Conduct active Food Security and Defense surveillance inside the facility and during its operation.</li>\n <li>Vice president's back up support. </li>\n <li>Other assigned duties as determined by the VP.</li>\n <li>NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (Required):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5 years of experience at a supervisory level.</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write) with all levels of employees from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.</li>\n <li>Must have a high math aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of SQF, GMP, SOP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.</li>\n <li>Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish (speak, read, and write).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Good computer skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to lead by example, encourage teamwork and learning, and motivate the workforce.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform consistent, accurate work, with minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The expected base salary range for this position is between $115,000. to $125,000.
