    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\"><strong>Salary Range: &nbsp;$39,520 - $52,875 Grade 7 FLSA Non-Exempt</strong></span></p><h3 style=\"margin: 12pt 0in 3pt; text-align: justify;\">Purpose of Classification:&nbsp;</h3><p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\">The purpose of this classification is to maintain, repair and replace the tires on all County vehicles, heavy truck and off-road equipment.&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin: 6pt 0in; text-align: justify;\"><i><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\">This classification is safety sensitive, subject to random drug testing in accordance with the County’s Drug &amp; Alcohol Policy.</span></i></p><h3 style=\"margin: 12pt 0in 3pt; text-align: justify;\">Essential Functions:&nbsp;</h3><p style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify;\"><i><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.</span></i></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Operates or uses various machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments; operates and maintains tire maintenance equipment including mounting and inflating equipment; and maintains a basic mechanics tool kit.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Inspects wheels and tires for damage or wear; ensures damage or wear is within safety ranges; initiates repair or replacement work orders as needed; and performs repair or replacement work as needed.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Changes vehicle tires; dismounts, inspects, mounts, inflates, and balances tires for automobiles, light trucks, and heavy trucks and equipment; inspects road wheel beads for damage or undue wear; and determines correct inflation pressures for vehicle.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Repairs tires; dismounts and inspects tires to find problems; repairs, mounts, inflates, and balances tires; and performs changes or repairs in the field as required.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Maintains inventory; receives new tires from vendors; adds and/or removes tires from inventory; and updates inventory records.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Prepares old tires for rework or disposal; evaluates tires for potential rework or disposal; separates tires and prepares them for rework or disposal; and maintains associated records.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;\"><span>Performs road and field calls to repair or replace tires, rims, and maintain related equipment.</span></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>High school diploma or GED required; two years of experience in tire maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.</span></p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Specific License or Certification Required:</u></strong><span>&nbsp; </span><span style=\"letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\">Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the level of&nbsp; equipment&nbsp;operated&nbsp; within&nbsp; six&nbsp;(6)&nbsp; months&nbsp; of&nbsp;starting&nbsp; employment&nbsp; in&nbsp;this&nbsp; classification.&nbsp;</span></p>",
