    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Construction Safety Professional is responsible for supporting and advancing Vertiv’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across active construction and mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role partners with project leadership, contractors, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement effective accident prevention strategies.</p>\n<p>The position supports construction operations through worksite assessments, safety training, incident investigations, and hazard mitigation activities. Senior-level professionals may also provide leadership oversight of project safety programs, mentor safety staff, and serve as a key safety liaison for project leadership and stakeholders.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct worksite safety inspections, assessments, and audits across active construction sites.</li>\n <li>Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors; implement corrective and preventive actions.</li>\n <li>Support development and execution of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk mitigation plans.</li>\n <li>Lead incident reporting, investigations, and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.</li>\n <li>Develop and deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training programs for field personnel and contractors.</li>\n <li>Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Provide coaching and guidance to project teams on safe work practices and safety program expectations.</li>\n <li>Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records in alignment with company standards.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with project leadership to integrate safety planning into daily construction operations.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen site safety culture and performance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health &amp; Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.</li>\n <li>4-8 years of construction safety experience depending on level and project scope.</li>\n <li>Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and effectively in a field-based construction environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting union labor environments.</li>\n <li>Experience working in data center or mission-critical construction environments.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or industrial construction projects.</li>\n <li>OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.</li>\n <li>STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification required within 90 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Additional professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or related credentials.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical &amp; Environmental Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on active construction sites.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely navigate construction environments including uneven surfaces and elevated work areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>30-50%</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The anticipated salary range for this role in the Ohio and Colorado localities is between $84,707 to $127,061 per year—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary.&nbsp;Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to receive and/or participate in profit sharing, allowances, travel and/or car expenses, and earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization depending on the terms of the employee’s role and individual offer details. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
