This role plays a vital part in keeping our facility, equipment, and grounds in top condition. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general maintenance, mechanically inclined, and proactive in identifying and addressing issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on CNC machinery</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and rebuild Gelcoat, Resin, Chop, and Putty guns</li><li>Assist with PLCs, automation systems, and other robotic equipment</li><li>Maintain PM schedules and documentation</li><li>Lead and train other maintenance team members</li><li>Perform light building maintenance (changing lightbulbs, filters, minor repairs, etc.)</li><li>Conduct general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility and grounds, including restrooms and exterior areas</li><li>Oversee waste removal and surface sanitation efforts</li><li>Support HVAC maintenance and filter changes</li><li>Help assess and resolve issues with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)</li><li>Complete other related tasks as needed</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED&nbsp;</li><li>2–3 years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience preferred</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs</li><li>Familiarity with PLC programming and robotic equipment a plus!</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly&nbsp;</li><li>Requires bending, stooping, and climbing ladders</li><li>Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive pay</li><li>Paid time off and holidays</li><li>Great benefits—medical, dental, vision, company-paid life and disability insurance, and more!</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>A people-focused workspace with an emphasis on team collaboration and industry innovation</li></ul><p><strong>Why Freeman Boatworks?</strong><br>We build some of the most sought-after offshore fishing boats in the world, and we take pride in the craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence that define our team.
