Our team brings deep technical expertise and a commitment to excellence across every phase of design, inspection, and construction administration.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re looking for a <strong>Project Engineer &ndash; MEP</strong> to join our Engineering team. In this role, you&rsquo;ll design, support and manage the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components of complex building projects throughout New York City. You&rsquo;ll work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to help deliver compliant, high-quality MEP systems that meet both technical and client expectations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Design &amp; manage MEP scopes of work from preconstruction through project closeout.</li><li>Coordinate with third party consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project deliverables.</li><li>Review MEP drawings and documents for code compliance and constructability.</li><li>Track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.</li><li>Conduct site visits to monitor progress and provide field coordination &amp; field reports</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.</li><li>Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility studies.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ensure MEP installations meet safety, quality, and code standards.</li><li>Support internal reporting and documentation efforts.</li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines to drive successful project outcomes.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Bring</strong></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum 5 years of experience managing or coordinating MEP systems in building design or construction projects.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>Experience working with architectural and engineering teams.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Experience working with engineering consulting firms</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).</li><li>Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of NYC building codes and permitting processes.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>PE license</li><li>Engineer In Training (EIT) or working toward a PE license.</li><li>Industry related credentials such as: Project Management, Energy, and Commissioning related credentials.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Schedule</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>This position is based in New York, NY, with a flexible hybrid schedule.</li><li>Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM &ndash; 5:00 PM.</li><li>Travel requirements: Field onsite visits: 30-50% depending on project workload.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Salary range: $110,000 &ndash; $125,000, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.</li><li>Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K plan.</li><li>Paid time off: Holiday, vacation, sick, personal, and birthday.</li><li>Career development and growth opportunities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>HLZAE, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, LLC, <em>is an <strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong>.
