Co-Principal Investigator

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Doctorate degree (or foreign equivalent) in Marine Sciences or a related field. Extensive knowledge of Azolla growth and phosphorus dynamics. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in academic research and peer reviewed publications and writing proposals for private and federal grants. Brief Description of Duties: Working independently, as well as effectively with Co-PIs, incumbent utilizes disciplinary/scientific judgment and advanced training/experience to undertake highly significant and innovative research. The incumbent will be responsible for funding a research program to conduct research and mentor graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and collaborate with SoMAS faculty. Technical work is subject to sponsor review. Duties will consist of the following: Lead an innovative research group conducting funded research related to azolla growth and phosphorus dynamics. Advise and mentor graduate students conducting research based graduate degrees. Pursue additional funding opportunities including federal, State and private sources. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Other duties as assigned. Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
