We invite applications from physical therapists and related professionals who are passionate about preparing students for graduate‑level DPT education and practice.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Responsibilities<br>Adjunct faculty may be assigned lecture and/or lab courses in areas such as:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Pathophysiology for Rehabilitation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Introduction to Physical Therapy and Health Care Systems</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Biomechanics and Movement Analysis</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Therapeutic Exercise Principles</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Neuroscience / Motor Control foundations (introductory level)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Evidence‑Based Practice / Introduction to Clinical Research</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Additional responsibilities include:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Designing and delivering courses that build foundational knowledge and clinical reasoning expected for DPT admission</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Facilitating lab‑based activities such as goniometry, manual muscle testing, posture and gait analysis, and basic therapeutic exercise</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Integrating professional behaviors, ethics, and interprofessional perspectives into classroom discussions</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providing timely, constructive feedback on student performance</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintaining accurate course records and participating in basic departmental communication as needed</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or master&rsquo;s degree in Physical Therapy;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>OR a master&rsquo;s in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field with significant experience teaching pre‑PT content</li></ul></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Current or eligible&nbsp;physical therapy license&nbsp;(preferred for PT‑trained applicants)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong foundation in human anatomy, kinesiology, and rehabilitation principles</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated ability to communicate complex clinical concepts to undergraduate learners</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Commitment to the mission and values of Misericordia University</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preferred Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Teaching experience at the collegiate level (undergraduate or DPT programs)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Active clinical practice in orthopedics, sports, neurology, or related areas</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience mentoring pre‑PT or DPT students in clinical or academic settings</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with CAPTE expectations and pre‑professional preparation for DPT programs</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with learning management systems and technology‑enhanced teaching</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Application Materials Required</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Cover letter describing teaching interests, clinical expertise, and preferred course areas</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Curriculum vitae or r&eacute;sum&eacute;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Copy of current PT license (if applicable)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contact information for three references</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Unofficial transcripts (official transcripts required upon hire)</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Misericordia University, a vibrant community founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Mercy!
