As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our safety approach is essential to our success.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Typical responsibilites include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Strategic Capture and Win Planning</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead strategic planning for key pursuits in target sectors, including client analysis, competitive positioning, and teaming recommendations.</li>\n <li>Develop and document <strong>capture plans</strong>, pursuit calendars, and SWOT analyses.</li>\n <li>Facilitate go/no-go discussions and strategy sessions with executive sponsors and BD teams.</li>\n <li>Ensure all messaging reflects the client's values, pain points, and success criteria.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Proposal Leadership and Content Development</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as proposal lead on complex pursuits from RFQ through shortlist, interview, and final RFP response.</li>\n <li>Own the <strong>win strategy</strong>, key messaging, and storyboarding process across written and visual content.</li>\n <li>Write and edit executive summaries, approach sections, and resumes to elevate proposal impact.</li>\n <li>Oversee the compliance, accuracy, and brand voice of all submittals.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Client and Internal Facilitation</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead <strong>internal kickoff meetings</strong>, partner work sessions, and interview preparation.</li>\n <li>Coordinate input and feedback from subject matter experts, joint venture partners, estimators, and executives.</li>\n <li>Guide <strong>interview strategy</strong> and coach internal teams on presentation delivery and Q&A readiness.</li>\n <li>Foster strong relationships with clients during prepositioning, procurement, and debrief stages.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Contract and Procurement Intelligence</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and contract documents to identify key risks, requirements, and opportunities.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with legal, estimating, and risk management teams to ensure proposal responses reflect contract compliance and risk mitigation strategy.</li>\n <li>Track industry trends in progressive contracting (e.g., CMGC, P3, DBFOM) and communicate implications to the team.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Collaboration and Mentorship</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Support the development of pursuit tools, templates, and best practices.</li>\n <li>Mentor junior pursuit managers and coordinators by sharing knowledge on writing, positioning, and client engagement.</li>\n <li>Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative proposal culture built on curiosity, agility, and strategic thinking.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related field + 12 years of relevant experience in pursuits, capture planning, marketing, or proposals within the AEC, infrastructure, or water/energy sectors or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong writing, editing, and messaging skills, with experience tailoring technical content for client needs.</li>\n <li>Experience facilitating meetings and working groups with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, executives, and JV partners.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with CMAR/CMGC, Design-Build, and alternative delivery contracting models.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, CRM software (Cosential).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> The salary range for this position is between<strong> $195,000.00 - $235,000.00</strong> per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial future.
