Adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.</p></li>\n <li>Responsible for triage of organ referrals, obtaining clinical information to determine medical suitability, providing clinical assessment to determine organ viability</li>\n <li>Create case plan for organ referrals including further needs once onsite staff involved.</li>\n <li>Support staff through the referral process and provide additional education and information surrounding the donation process as needed</li>\n <li>Assist staff in identifying issues related to the donation process and, in collaboration, create a plan of action</li>\n <li>Coordinate onsite staff for organ donors and referral activity</li>\n <li>Ensure accurate, clear clinical documentation according to current policies and procedures; identify, document, and communicate essential clinical information to associated Gift of Hope staff, transplant center staff, and administrators</li>\n <li>Facilitate necessary testing and services, at the direction of the AOC/Medical Director</li>\n <li>Provide all medically relevant information to the ME/Coroner to obtain release for donation</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with families of potential organ and tissue donors to provide information and support</li>\n <li>Obtain and document authorization of organ and tissue donation in accordance with Gift of Hope policy</li>\n <li>Perform physical assessment of potential donors</li>\n <li>Coordinate medical management of donation after circulatory death (DCD) donors with the hospital team to ensure appropriate hemodynamic status</li>\n <li>Participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives, meetings, educational activities and required training as assigned</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and Training Required </strong></p>\n<p>The following identifies the minimum education and training required to perform the essential functions of the job.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of one year in Allied Health or graduate RN providing patient care in an acute care setting, or previous OPO clinical experience</li>\n <li>Other candidates may be considered on an individual basis at the discretion of management, dependent on aligned job experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and Skills Required</strong></p>\n<p>The following indicates the minimum skills and experience required to perform the essential functions of the job.
