This role analyzes project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine labor, material, and overall project costs while identifying risks and opportunities to ensure successful project execution.</span>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Responsibilities</span></p>\nReview architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements\nPrepare detailed cost estimates for vertical construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs\nSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and competitiveness\nPerform quantity take-offs and pricing for all construction divisions\nDevelop bid proposals and assist in preparing final bid packages\nIdentify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options\nCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during preconstruction and bidding phases\nMaintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimating systems\nAttend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as needed\nEnsure estimates align with project schedules and timelines\nSupport contract negotiations and clarify scope inclusions/exclusions\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Success Profile</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical and mathematical skills</li>\n<li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills</li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously</li>\n<li>Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities</li>\n<li>Knowledge of cost control and budgeting principles</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>",
