As we continue expanding throughout Michigan, we are seeking an experienced attorney to serve as in-house counsel and strategic legal advisor.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The In-House Counsel will oversee legal, regulatory, Medicaid, compliance, and litigation matters for the organization. This role requires a hands-on attorney with strong healthcare and courtroom experience who can support day-to-day operations while protecting the company’s legal and financial interests.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have experience with Medicaid regulations, healthcare compliance, employment law, and active court representation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide legal guidance to executive leadership and operational teams</li>\n <li>Represent the company in court proceedings, administrative hearings, disputes, and litigation matters</li>\n <li>Manage outside counsel when necessary</li>\n <li>Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, vendor agreements, referral agreements, and client service agreements</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with Michigan healthcare regulations, labor laws, and licensing requirements</li>\n <li>Handle employment law matters including wage and hour issues, caregiver disputes, investigations, and HR compliance</li>\n <li>Develop and implement internal compliance programs and policies</li>\n <li>Support business expansion, acquisitions, licensing, and regulatory filings</li>\n <li>Oversee HIPAA/privacy and risk management initiatives</li>\n <li>Monitor changes in healthcare and Medicaid laws affecting home care operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school</li>\n <li>Licensed and in good standing with the Michigan Bar</li>\n <li>Strong Medicaid and healthcare regulatory experience preferred</li>\n <li>Experience handling administrative hearings and regulatory disputes preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of employment law and healthcare compliance</li>\n <li>Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment</li>\n</ul>",
