    "description": "<h2>Opportunity Details</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Title: Full-time Inpatient BC Child/Adolescent </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location: Harahan, LA (New Orleans) </strong></p>\n<p>The inpatient mental health services for adolescents at River Oaks Hospital are specifically designed to meet the needs of patients ages 12–17 experiencing serious behavioral disturbances or an inability to function at home or school.</p>\n<p>The ultimate goal of treatment is to stabilize the immediate crisis and to enable the patient to return to their community with skills to promote personal and emotional development, relationship building, and independence.</p>\n<p>Psychiatric treatment consists primarily of group, family, and individual therapies. Family members are encouraged to address problems and frustrations that have contributed to the current crisis to open new lines of communication. This helps develop a better-adjusted family unit upon discharge.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Position Overview:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Role:</strong> Inpatient Child/Adolescent</li>\n <li><strong>Patient Population:</strong> Ages 12-17</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday-Friday, daytime hours.</li>\n <li><strong>Weekend Coverage:</strong> 1:5 Saturday/Sunday in-person rounding. </li>\n <li><strong>Weekday Call:</strong> One evening call shift per week by phone only.</li>\n <li><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time employed position.</li>\n <li><strong>Additional earnings potential:</strong> Extra call options and Productivity Bonus Plan.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child/adolescent patients.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.</li>\n <li>Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Compensation and Benefits:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive base salary with Productivity Bonus potential.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package including malpractice insurance, paid time off, CME package, and student loan assistance (optional)</li>\n <li>Relocation assistance and/or sign-on bonuses are available. </li>\n <li>Additional perks: Training facility and the ability to train and mentor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.</li>\n <li><strong>Training: </strong>Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent Fellowship program.</li>\n <li><strong>Licensure:</strong> Louisiana medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Why Harahan, LA?</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>You get the benefits of a large medical ecosystem without living in the middle of the city.</li>\n <li>Harahan is quiet, safe, and residential, but you’re 15–20 minutes from New Orleans culture, food, festivals, and nightlife.</li>\n <li>Housing is significantly more affordable than in many metro areas.
