Description The Electrical Technician I will accurately and efficiently perform diversified tasks relating to product assembly, to include box terminations, service loop installation and termination, crimping of all terminations, point to point testing of components, calibration of boards or meters, testing of completed assemblies such as control consoles. Responsibilities Complies and participates in company safety and quality programs and initiatives Performs all duties of the Electrical Technician 1 Measure and record technical data as tasks are complete Test equipment according to testing specifications and record result in test book Able to schedule and organize work task of subordinates (level one tech) Assist higher level electricians in the assembly process with the assistance from drawings and schematics. Assist in activities such as parts fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding crimping, and inspecting Initials changes through approved mechanisms and report changes Able to track changes and report changes Inspect all equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and services Overtime as required to meet customer delivery schedules Other duties may be assigned Qualifications Consistently follows established safety procedures Inspires open communication and fosters team commitment Strives to perform at the highest level while always keeping customer satisfaction in mind Effectively plans ahead to meet commitments Brings forth suggestions or ideas to reduce costs or improve safety, efficiency and/or effectiveness of work processes and/or operations Appropriately raises concerns and/or issues to management Supports change and a positive work environment Understands duties and responsibilities, has necessary knowledge and skills for current job Strives to exceed customer expectations and to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction Measures and records technical data as tasks are complete Schedules and organizes work task of subordinates (Level 1) Assist in the assembly process with the assistance from drawings and schematics Assist with part fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding, crimping and inspecting Ability to explain the theory of operations of plant electrical component motors Ability to perform special soldering Understands basic formulas of electricity Explain the basic electrical layout Understands basic circuit elements (source, ground, resistor, capacitor Understands BOM's (Folder/Process) PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
