While final approval is pending, we are actively building a pipeline of qualified candidates so we can move quickly once funding is in place. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>At <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PMAT</span>, we work on mission critical systems that directly support the warfighter, designing, building, and securing modern digital capabilities across cloud, data, and software environments. Our teams tackle complex, real-world challenges where delivery matters more than theory, and innovation is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role: </span>In this role, you will help transform robotics autonomous system (RAS) integration and sensor produced data into a cloud-enabled, distributed data and decision platform aligned to warfighter needs. Enabling orchestrated software, real-time data fusion, and operational decision advantage across the fleet and partner forces. This role sits at the center of one of the Navy’s most important transitions: transitioning from platform-centric ISR to a cloud-enabled, distributed operational capability supporting maritime kill chains. You will design and implement cloud architectures that enable tactical control and advanced computer applications to operate across edge, tactical, and enterprise environments, supporting degraded comms, mosaic warfare tactical and up-echelon data operations, and real-time mission execution.</p>\n<p>Day-to-day, you’ll work with engineers, operators, and government stakeholders to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Architect and orchestrate antifragile cloud-native, multi-cloud, and hybrid solutions </li>\n<li>Enable rapid DevSecOps pipelines</li>\n<li>Implement integrated engineering approaches for cloud development </li>\n<li>Ensure security across classification levels</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and implement cloud architectures for data aligned to warfighter needs and distributed maritime operations.</li>\n<li>Develop hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures integrating edge nodes and cloud environments. </li>\n<li>Lead containerization, orchestration, and microservice transition of data source services, RAS critical mission enablers, and data distribution capabilities.</li>\n<li>Architect solutions across multi-classification environments (TS/SCI, SECRET, UNCLASS), including cloud-based cross-domain considerations.</li>\n<li>Implement and optimize DevSecOps pipelines (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated security scanning).</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with DoD cloud standards (ILs 4, 5 &amp; 6+), Zero Trust, and RMF requirements.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with AI/ML and data teams to increase efficiency</li>\n<li>Support cloud deployments across environments such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-prem, tactical, and on-platform compute.</li>\n<li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Us: </span>PMAT is an innovative small business founded with a passion for developing forward-leaning solutions from exceptional people that increase the mission's capability. If you’re passionate about using your skills to make a real difference, apply today and become part of a team that’s shaping the future of defense technology!</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, distributed systems, or platform engineering</li>\n<li>Experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments</li>\n<li>Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of hybrid cloud/edge computing architectures</li>\n<li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)</li>\n<li>Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines</li>\n<li>Experience working in DoD or IC environments, including RMF and security compliance</li>\n<li>Understanding of networking, data flows, and distributed systems under constrained conditions</li>\n<li>Ability to work in cross-functional teams with engineers, operators, and government stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience supporting Navy warfighting concepts and associated capabilities</li>\n<li>Familiarity with cross-domain solutions and multi-level security architectures</li>\n<li>Experience with data streaming, event-driven architectures, and real-time analytics</li>\n<li>Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and large-scale data fusion systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Certification Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required</li>\n<li>At least one Cloud certification (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, etc.) is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Citizenship and Clearance requirements: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>U.S. Citizenship required</li>\n<li>No dual citizenship</li>\n<li>Active TS/SCI clearance required or active TS and previously held SCI</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location/Address:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>San Diego, CA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel &amp; Passport: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under 15% travel</li>\n<li>Occasional CONUS travel for integration, testing, and customer engagement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment: </span>PMAT offices as needed.
