    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Construction&nbsp;Services&nbsp;Practice</strong></p>\n<p>Michael Baker International’s Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers,&nbsp;estimators and safety experts. As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.</p>\n<p><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></p>\n<p>Michael Baker International is actively seeking a Transportation Construction Manager to join our growing team in Canton. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in roadway/transportation construction engineering inspection (CEI) and construction management services. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of delivering complex transportation infrastructure projects—particularly roadway, highway, and bridge improvements—on time and within budget, while maintaining strong client relationships.</p>\n<p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead daily construction management and inspection activities on transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, and bridges.</li>\n <li>Oversee contractor operations to ensure compliance with ODOT/KYTC standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Manage and mentor field staff, inspectors, and junior engineers.</li>\n <li>Administer construction contracts, including pay applications, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation from pre-construction through closeout.</li>\n <li>Conduct and lead progress meetings with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Coordinate directly with state DOT project representatives and local agencies.</li>\n <li>Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control to ensure timely and compliant delivery.</li>\n <li>Prepare and present regular project updates to senior leadership and clients.</li>\n <li>Ensure all construction activities adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You Need to Succeed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>10+ years of experience in transportation construction management, with a focus on roadway and bridge projects.</li>\n <li>Strong familiarity with ODOT and/or KYTC procedures and specifications; relevant inspection certifications preferred.</li>\n <li>Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret and apply transportation construction plans, specifications, and procedures.</li>\n <li>Willingness to travel to project sites and work in varying field conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>\n<p>The approximate compensation range for this position is&nbsp;$97,000 - $145,000.&nbsp;This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.&nbsp;Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.</p>\n<p>#LI-LM1</p>",
