    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Therapeutic Assistant I </strong>will implement instructional programs and evidence-based treatment protocols in a classroom setting under the oversight of a Speech-Language Pathologist. This staff member will interact with the children to encourage language, social, and self-regulatory development. The incumbent will also collect progress and treatment response data; assist with classroom organization; prepare teaching materials; and assist with parent communication. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This job description reflects the designation of essential job functions and critical features of this position but does not provide an all-inclusive list of duties that may be assigned. These job functions and features are subject to change at the discretion of the Institute and its management. </em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>1.</strong> Carry out instructional programs as outlined by the Speech Language Pathologists.</p>\n<p><strong>2.</strong> Effectively implement behavior management strategies according to trained procedures.</p>\n<p><strong>3.</strong> Assist in data management functions, to include data collection and data entry.</p>\n<p><strong>4.</strong> Provide basic care needs of students during groups.</p>\n<p><strong>5.</strong> Prepare and lead specified activities during groups.</p>\n<p><strong>6.</strong> Assist in the development of therapeutic materials.</p>\n<p><strong>7.</strong> Clean, organize, and maintain the classroom.</p>\n<p><strong>8.</strong> Support planning, preparation, and staffing for supplemental programming.</p>\n<p><strong>9.</strong> Participate in parent awareness and training activities.</p>\n<p><strong>10.</strong> Complete medical, behavioral, and other in-service training as needed.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent required. </li>\n <li>College classes in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working with young children preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience as a paraprofessional with young children with autism and implementing treatment protocols in a classroom or childcare setting preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum pay range</h2>\n<h2>Maximum pay range</h2>",
