If you’re passionate about innovation and thrive in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary and Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Qualifying General Contractor serves as the responsible licensed professional for the company, ensuring all general contracting and related construction activities comply with state licensing laws, building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. This role manages, renews, and obtains new general contracting licenses in support of the company’s pursuit, bid, and performance of construction services and provides technical oversight, supervision, of projects performed under the company’s license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain up to date knowledge of construction laws, codes, and licensing requirements.</li>\n <li>Represent the company in matters related to licensing, compliance, and regulatory agencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as the qualifier for the company’s general contractor licenses.</li>\n <li>Maintain active, compliant licensure in good standing with the state licensing board and other jurisdictional agencies or licensing boards.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Address licensing board inquiries, audits, and compliance issues.</li>\n <li>Assist with permit applications, inspections, and code compliance corrections.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Legal and Operations to develop and execute on licensing strategy.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all site work performance aligns to compliance requirements. </li>\n <li>Inform company stakeholders about requirements and regulations of government entities and municipalities to support compliance with general conditions and license requirements.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel periodically to work site locations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to, promote, and accept personal responsibility for compliance with: Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations; Industry Consensus Standards; and Circet USA Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus 3 or more years related experience as a licensed general contractor. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. </li>\n <li>Qualifying score on the NASCLA GC exam preferred.</li>\n <li>Current General Contractor license (or equivalent) in home state and, if required, obtain reciprocity in other states.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong knowledge of construction practices and methods, building codes and safety regulations, and project management principles.</li>\n <li>Clean disciplinary record with the licensing boards. </li>\n <li>Stong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to provide oversight without necessarily performing daily field labor.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>High attention to legal detail and document accuracy.</li>\n <li>Professional discretion and sound judgment.</li>\n <li>Ability to collaborate across legal and non-legal teams.</li>\n <li>Strong time management in fast-paced environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
