    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Position Objective</u></strong><strong>:</strong>&nbsp; Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. Maintain the plant equipment to optimize production.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintain spare parts inventory &ndash; determine and manage stocking levels</li><li>Order parts as needed from local vendors and catalogues</li><li>Change bearings, belts and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyors</li><li>Clean and change pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines, and maintain work area</li><li>Communicate equipment issues with mechanics and supervisors from other shifts</li><li>Maintain and secure work tools</li><li>Create sorting computer software/parameter backups</li><li>General PM and repairs of bucket elevators &amp; screw conveyor, forklifts, front end loaders and sweepers</li><li>Install facility machinery</li><li>Back-up for maintenance technicians</li><li>Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs</li><li>Perform checks and basic maintenance on Non-Ferrous Metal Detector</li><li>Complete daily maintenance and repair logs, and maintain preventive maintenance program (PM) for mechanical and electrical equipment</li><li>Provide on-the-job training to new employees&nbsp;</li><li>Rigging of motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy components</li><li>Weld and fabricate, patch holes in steel chutes and transitions</li><li>Problem solving and project management</li><li>Team player, able to lead and contribute to a team effort</li><li>Troubleshoot sorting computer (Windows based platform)</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance</li><li>Good communications&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient computer MS Office, Excel, a plus</li><li>Welding and fabrication</li><li>Must be bilingual - English and Spanish.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to communicate in English and Spanish language, a must in some locations</li><li>Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives</li><li>Electronic experience, a plus</li><li>Experience with mechanical conveyors</li><li>Glass processing knowledge, a plus</li><li>Strong experience with mechanical conveyors</li><li>Must have computer skills, including hardware and software communication and installation.</li><li>Must have electrical knowledge - Troubleshoot and fix electrical problems.&nbsp;</li><li id=\"isPasted\">PLC experience, a plus</li></ul><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Working conditions</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must&nbsp;be able to perform above listed duties.</li><li>Will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions periodically.</li><li>A mixture of light, moderate and heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical requirements:</strong></p><p>Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. &nbsp;50% bend, stoop, twist, reach, and climb steps.
