Standard hours are Sunday-Wednesday from 9:30 pm - 7:30 am with overtime, as needed. This job starts at $19.40 per hour and is based on experience.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Information:</strong></p>\n<p>This position reports directly to the Production Manager and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. For more information on Horton, Inc. please visit our web site at www.hortonww.com. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of Laser Operator:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Read and follow instructions on routings and work instructions for each job.</li>\n <li>Checks stock for adequate supplies, parts and any other items needed. Contacts material handler or Supervisor/Team Lead if shortages exist. </li>\n <li>Responsible for the safe set-up and operation of plastic laser and basic troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Data entry into Oracle system. </li>\n <li>Obtain first piece and last piece buyoff from the Quality department.</li>\n <li>Perform frequent quality checks as directed by management or a Quality representative. </li>\n <li>Relay all information about current job to oncoming shift.</li>\n <li>Maintain production rate on each job.</li>\n <li>Will be required to use applicable power equipment to move parts, box fans, bulk packages, or materials.</li>\n <li>Train new operators, as needed.</li>\n <li>Will be required to fill in as Operator in other departments as directed/rotated.</li>\n <li>Practice 6S and always maintain clean and safe work areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications of Laser Operator:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma, or equivalent (GED), is required. </li>\n <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. </li>\n <li>Ability to work well in a group and individually. </li>\n <li>Some knowledge and familiarity with computers needed. </li>\n <li>Some degree of mechanical aptitude may be required. </li>\n <li>Previous experience with laser/CNC or similar equipment may be essential.</li>\n <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States.
