    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>DEPARTMENT:</strong>&nbsp;Die Shop</p><p><strong>JOB TITLE:</strong>&nbsp;Aluminum Extrusion Die Technician</p><p><strong>REPORTS TO:&nbsp;</strong>Shift Facilitator with direction from the Team Captain</p><p><strong>SHIFT DAYS /HOURS</strong>:&nbsp;Training will be on 1st Shift. Position is on 3rd shift.</p><p>1st Shift Training Hours Monday to Thursday (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) over the course of 4 days (40+ hours).&nbsp;Friday or Saturday could be scheduled as needed.</p><p>3<sup>rd</sup> Shift Hours Sunday night to Wednesday night (9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) over the course of 4 days (40+ hours).&nbsp;Friday (Thursday night) or Saturday (Friday night) could be scheduled as needed.</p><p>We are currently seeking an Aluminum Extrusion Die Technician. The position is primarily responsible for examining dies and press tooling to recommend and perform modifications and improvements.</p><p>Some experience is required. 5 years plus is preferred. Attach a resume to the job application.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What You Will Be Responsible For:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Repair and preventative maintenance of production tooling</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Operate equipment such mills, cranes, die oven use and nitriding system safely</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to wear proper PPE for tasks associated with operations</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Ability to accurately use calipers/micrometers, bore scope, feeler and pin gauges</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Rework and repair all die tooling as necessary with the guidance of Group Leader/Supervisor.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Review die inspection reports for proper corrective action</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must be able to read/understand blueprints</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must know how to polish and flatten bearings</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must have strong problem-solving ability</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Evaluate existing tooling for replacement</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Inspect new dies upon arrival from vendor</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Evaluate test dies</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Assist other personnel or perform other duties as instructed by Supervisor/Group Leader</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Keep work areas safe and clean</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Inform supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems associated with requirements/responsibilities</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must understand reaction to die tooling under pressure:</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must understand billet flow and temperatures</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must know the differences in 6000 series alloys</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">Must be computer literate</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Environment / Physical Demands:</strong>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif;\"> </span><span>&nbsp;</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.</li><li style=\"tab-stops:list .5in;\">The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
