This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of company vehicles and heavy equipment used in electrical transmission, distribution, substation, and drilling projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Field Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient jobsite operations. This position requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety and quality.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and small tools used in construction and utility operations</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment</li>\n <li>Service and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components</li>\n <li>Respond to field service calls and perform repairs at job sites as needed</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation</li>\n <li>Ensure all equipment meets safety and DOT compliance standards</li>\n <li>Coordinate with operations and fleet management to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime</li>\n <li>Order and manage parts, tools, and supplies necessary for repairs</li>\n <li>Operate service trucks and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment</li>\n <li>Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE</li>\n <li>Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in construction, utility, or heavy equipment environments</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment repair</li>\n <li>Experience working on bucket trucks, digger derricks, trailers, and similar utility equipment preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently in field conditions</li>\n <li>Understanding of DOT regulations and equipment compliance standards</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>\n <li>Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple service requests</li>\n <li>Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork</li>\n <li>Willingness to work outdoors, travel locally or regionally, and work extended hours as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>PAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>100% employer-paid health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for you and your dependents</li>\n <li>100% employer-paid basic life insurance</li>\n <li>100% employer-paid disability benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan with matching contribution</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off (sick and vacation)</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Tuition Assistance</li>\n <li>Wellness and Mental Health Programs</li>\n <li>Learning and Development Programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
