This hands‑on role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional committed to supporting a community of more than 800 residents, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining modern, high‑quality living spaces.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>In addition to the duties typically expected of a maintenance professional, responsibilities will include;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n<li>Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.</li>\n<li>Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.</li>\n<li>Assist with seasonal property operations, including landscaping and snow removal.</li>\n<li>Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.</li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.</li>\n<li>Adhere to all workplace health &amp; safety policies and report safety hazards to management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1+ years of experience in property maintenance, building operations, or facilities support role.</li>\n<li>General understanding of residential building systems (e.g., kitchen &amp; bathroom fixtures, doors, appliances, lighting).</li>\n<li>Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.</li>\n<li>Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and extended periods of walking.</li>\n<li>Functional English verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal record check.</li>\n<li>Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Team + What You Can Expect</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>All work will be completed at Avalon Park; located at 2470 Southvale Crescent, Ottawa.</li>\n<li>The ideal candidate lives close enough to Avalon to respond quickly to emergency resident inquiries (within about 10–15 minutes).</li>\n<li>This role requires participation in an on-call rotation schedule.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>$22.00 - $26.00 based on skills and experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Along with an hourly wage, employees can participate in our comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for both employees and their dependents.
