Job Purpose: As a Project Controls Manager in the Worley Alaska office, your primary responsibilities will be to deliver consistent, accurate, and effective project controls including cost control, schedule management, change management, forecasting, and reporting. In addition, you will be instrumental with fostering a culture of learning and development, and with managing career progression within the Project Controls department. Responsibilities: The PCM will not only lead the Project Controls Team, but the position will also be self performing project controls activities on projects as needed. The following is a list of the roles and responsibilities, but not limited to: Collaborate with the Project Controls team to ensure that all projects are accurately set up and executed as per Worley Project Controls Procedures and guidelines. Estimate review and recasting into a project control budget Knowledge and use of Work Breakdown Structure, Code of Accounts, and Cost Types Cost Control, cost management, cost forecasting and reporting Schedule development, progressing, forecasting and reporting Cost and Schedule analysis Change Management execution and administration Organize and facilitate project reviews with management Knowledge of accrual process to support financial reporting Development of project specific Project Controls Plans Knowledge of Risk Management methodologies Actively engage in the bid and proposal process Serve as a local champion for Worley Project Controls Processes, driving adherence and fostering a culture of excellence Lead implementation of project controls systems and spearhead capability enhancements within the tools and across projects Identify areas for potential improvement and lead the implementation of change initiatives to address these areas, driving efficiency and effectiveness Effectively manage client requirements and stakeholder needs with respect to project controls, ensuring effective communication and alignment. Provide supervision, support, and coaching to Project Controls team Ensure proactive monitoring of project trends and challenges, facilitating early intervention and resolution Collaborate with project managers and project controls personnel to ensure regular, accurate, and standardized reporting for all projects Oversee internal monthly reviews of project status and health, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards Work closely with Project Controls team to define clear goals and expectations for all project team members Accountable for the selection, hiring, training, and development of the Project Controls team to ensure each project is optimally resourced with sufficient and capability Support the overall management of training plans and career development initiatives for project controls team, fostering a culture of growth and advancement. Participate in the annual performance review of Project Controls team and ensure they participate in the Performance Appraisal program Assist with development and tracking of the department budget Actively champion proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives and programs Physical Demand/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Experience in leading / managing project controls teams Experience in Oil/Gas Construction and Fabrication Experience in the full lifecycle of project Working knowledge and skills in the use of software such as EcoSys, Primavera, MS Suite of Products, and cost control systems Strong computer skills Ability to communicate in written and spoken English is required. Live within daily commute distance to Anchorage, Alaska or able to relocate. No relocation / stipend services provided.
