As the industries have evolved, Roberts Sinto has developed and refined its capabilities to offer a broad range of services and equipment for all industrial applications.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Roberts Sinto is currently seeking a Machine Controls Technician to join our Team in Grand Ledge, MI</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We are looking for an entry level Machine Controls Technician to troubleshoot, modify, and program PLCs and HMIs as well as be able support manufacturing with installation and start-up of controls systems on new machines. Selected candidates will be given the opportunity to learn more about PLC programming and controls design from seasoned Controls Engineers. Ideally seeking an ambitious hands-on type of person who desires a long-term career within an Engineering Department. Previous experience working with machine controls, either on the job training or schooling, is desired.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>General</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Layout, build, wire, install, and troubleshoot electrical control panels, junction boxes, limit switches, sensors, motors (AC/DC), conduit, and other electrical components.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Wire new machines and equipment with the latest electrical controls and components.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Interpret and modify Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Start-Up machines in shop prior to shipping to customer and at customers location.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>What We Want From You</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of High School diploma and/or equivalent.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLCs and HMIs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience wiring machines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Able to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiar with electrical codes and standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience programming robotics is a plus.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Eventually be able to travel 25-50% of the time as needed.</strong></li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or equipment, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
