          "text": "<p><strong>WHAT'S THE JOB?&#xa0;</strong></p><p>Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Building Operator maintains mechanical and electrical equipment such as, heat pumps, boilers, air handlers, fire system.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:&#xa0;&#xa0;</strong></p><p>The main duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:&#xa0;&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains mechanical equipment such as heat pumps, boilers, air handlers and pumps that provide chilled water, hot water and air conditioning to the property&#xa0;</li><li>General maintenance such as minor plumbing, light replacement, ballasts etc.&#xa0;</li><li>Performs preventative and regular maintenance as outlined by maintenance&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Oversees 3rd party contractors for the safe and compliant operation, maintenance both corrective and preventive.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Regulation of equipment&#xa0;</li><li>Works with the Quality Management system&#xa0;</li><li>Participate in educational programs and in-service trainings.&#xa0;</li><li>Attends meetings as required&#xa0;</li><li>As a key member of the Building Operations team, the successful candidate is required to be on call according to a published schedule. Successful candidate may occasionally be required to work weekends and some overtime.&#xa0;</li><li>Completes assigned tasks in a professional manner and close the work orders within time frame given in response time policy&#xa0;</li><li>Communicate the work status with the client groups via central call center within the time frame given in response time policy&#xa0;</li><li>Adheres to the occupational health and safety acts and other legislative enactment &#xa0;</li><li>The building operator also responds to Fire Alarms as part of the fire response team&#xa0;</li><li>Perform other related duties as required and as assigned by the supervisor or manager.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Prepare quotation letters for chargeable services provided by property management and prepare a monthly report detailing tenant services charges for work performed and provide same to accounting&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Must have initiative and the ability to work on own&#xa0;</li><li>Positive outlook, good communication and interpersonal skills are required&#xa0;</li><li>Must be computer literate&#xa0;</li><li>Certificate of Building Environmental Systems - Operator Class One &amp; Two or SMT or Stationary Engineer 4th/5th Class or equivalent;&#xa0;</li><li>2-5 years hands on experience in general maintenance in a commercial, laboratory equipment or industrial environment;&#xa0;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints;&#xa0;</li><li>Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and First Aid and CPR training;&#xa0;</li><li>Knowledge of Provincial Building Code &amp; Regulations, Canadian Electrical Code, Provincial Fire Code and Electrical Safety Authority;&#xa0;</li><li>Computer literate.
