Our Supervisors are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and our employees that they lead.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A true example in Leadership</li>\n <li>Ensure quality services are provided to meet customer expectations and contract requirements by regularly inspecting, training, coaching, mentoring and leading security personnel assigned to the facility/building</li>\n <li>Perform operations related functions to include; scheduling, overtime management, review of daily logs and incident reports, training and development of staff</li>\n <li>Provide recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those staff members under his/her direct supervision.</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional demeanor, leading staff and aiding customers, employees, and guests</li>\n <li>Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned</li>\n <li>Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity</li>\n <li>Answer all phones in a professional manner</li>\n <li>Know the facility / building policies and procedures, lead and enforce them within positions limits</li>\n <li>Follow and coordinate established emergency response, action planning and procedures </li>\n <li>Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents and write reports to ensure accuracy of necessary documentation</li>\n <li>Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as required</li>\n <li>The essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skill Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skill Requirements and Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>State or municipality mandated security officer licenses</li>\n <li>Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent</li>\n <li>Verifiable and successful supervisory and advanced education and/or certifications preferred</li>\n <li>Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience is helpful</li>\n <li>Must have reliable means of communication and transportation</li>\n <li>Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal communication skills</li>\n <li>Write routine correspondence, to include log entries, incident and reporting</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service environment</li>\n <li>Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li>\n <li>Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities.</p>\n<p><strong>About Harvard Protection Services: </strong></p>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
