    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The Home Medical Equipment (HME) Technician provides home care service deliveries, equipment</p><p>repair, and maintenance. A basic understanding and working knowledge of home care medical</p><p>equipment preferred. Frequent patient/client interactions such as patient education and equipment</p><p>set-up require good interpersonal communication skills. The HME Technician works under the limited</p><p>supervision of the Warehouse Operations Manager.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>Licenses: N/A</p><p>Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.</p><p>Experience: One-year experience preferred in ordering equipment, inventory control, and/or performing minor equipment repairs, home delivery with training of equipment, products, and/or supplies in customer homes, and direct customer contact in the capacity of assisting with various types of equipment or products.&nbsp;</p><p>Experience with medical supplies, medical equipment, and/or oxygen products preferred.&nbsp;</p><p>We are willing to train the right person for the job.</p><p>Miscellaneous: Valid Wisconsin Driver&rsquo;s license and ability to successfully pass a driving background check required.&nbsp;</p><p>Must possess a thorough knowledge of traffic regulations and safety precautions to be followed while operating a motor vehicle.&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to perform frequent patient/client interactions, such as patient education and equipment set-up requiring good interpersonal communication skills.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds from both the ground and table height.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to carry 100 pounds while walking 20 feet.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>&middot; Load, transport and deliver medical equipment and determine location for set-up within patients&rsquo;</p><p>homes.</p><p>&middot; Perform initial setup and resupply for oxygen systems in patients&rsquo; homes.</p><p>&middot; Document and confirm accuracy of all pertinent patient and medical equipment information for</p><p>entry into Brightree.</p><p>&middot; Provide education to patients and their caregivers on the safe and appropriate set-up and use of</p><p>durable medical equipment, including beds, walkers, wheelchairs, commodes, canes, bilirubin</p><p>lights, etc. for patients in the hospital, clinic, and home setting.</p><p>&middot; Work with other Care Direct staff, referring providers and patients to coordinate service or</p><p>address patient concerns.</p><p>&middot; Assess need and perform safety checks, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs of home</p><p>medical equipment.</p><p>&middot; Participate in &ldquo;on call&rdquo; rotation to address patient needs normal business hours, including</p><p>evenings, weekends, and holidays</p><p>&middot; Maintain vehicle and related safety equipment, vehicle maintenance record and operate in</p><p>compliance with DOT driving regulations.</p><p>&middot; Comply with Joint Commission, FDA, CMS, and other applicable regulatory and accrediting</p><p>organizations.</p><p>&middot; Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, loading dock and parking lot.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div>\n",
