Description
Join our dedicated team supporting the ACHIEVE Upward Bound Program, which aims to empower students to succeed academically and prepare for higher education. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant (PT) to provide essential administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our program. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and community development to contribute to a meaningful cause.
JOB PURPOSE
Provides administrative and program support duties for the Upward Bound Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative and clerical support to Upward Bound program staff. Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other program materials. Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events related to the Upward Bound program. Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing excellent customer service. Manage inventory of office supplies and ensure the proper functioning of office equipment. Assist with monitoring students during arrivals, transition periods, and dismissals. Supervise program participants on cultural and off-site trips. Order and prep snacks and meals for breakfast and lunch and reserve spaces and venues for program events. Assists program staff during workshop sessions with set-up and take-down. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with program policies and deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director (or designee).
WORK HOURS
Up to 20 hours per week ( NOTE: This is a part-time position.)
