    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">JOB SUMMARY</span><br>Camp Counselors serve as mentors responsible for the supervision, safety, and overall well-being of campers. They help create a safe, Christ-centered environment that promotes spiritual, social, and physical growth.</p>\n<p>This position is seasonal and may qualify under California’s “organized camp counselor” provisions. Duties may require extended hours, including overnight supervision.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Camper Care &amp; Supervision</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide continuous supervision of assigned campers, including overnight.</li>\n<li>Ensure camper safety, well-being, and participation in all activities.</li>\n<li>Maintain awareness of camper whereabouts at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Mentorship</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Model strong Christian values and leadership.</li>\n<li>Build positive relationships with campers and foster inclusion.</li>\n<li>Encourage teamwork, respect, and personal growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Program Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with daily camp activities, events, and schedules.</li>\n<li>Ensure campers arrive on time and participate fully.</li>\n<li>Support Activity Directors and program staff as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Activity Oversight</span></p>\n<p>Oversee and actively support all recreational and program activities, including but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arts and Crafts</li>\n<li>Laser Tag</li>\n<li>Swimming Pool</li>\n<li>Go Karts</li>\n<li>BMX Biking</li>\n<li>Outdoor Adventure Activities</li>\n<li>Bible Studies</li>\n<li>Basketball and Soccer</li>\n<li>Dynamic Worship Programs</li>\n<li>Hiking</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional activity responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure proper setup, operation, and cleanup of all activities.</li>\n<li>Maintain activity equipment and supplies in safe working condition.</li>\n<li>Verify that each activity area follows required safety protocols, certifications, and supervision ratios.</li>\n<li>Ensure lifeguard coverage at the pool, helmet use for biking, and safety checks for go karts, laser tag, and other equipment.</li>\n<li>Monitor camper participation and safety during all scheduled activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Spiritual Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead daily devotions and spiritual discussions.</li>\n<li>Encourage campers in their faith development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health &amp; Safety</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols.</li>\n<li>Report injuries or illnesses immediately.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Behavior Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Address behavioral issues appropriately and respectfully.</li>\n<li>Partner with leadership for serious concerns.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Administrative &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all camp policies and required training.</li>\n<li>Participate in staff training prior to and during camp.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Risk Management &amp; Legal Compliance (California)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with California Health and Safety Code §§18897–18897.7 (Organized Camps).</li>\n<li>Follow all supervision ratios, emergency procedures, and safety protocols.</li>\n<li>Immediately report all accidents, injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mandated Reporter Responsibility</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a Mandated Reporter under CANRA.</li>\n<li>Report suspected child abuse or neglect immediately.</li>\n<li>Complete required training prior to working with campers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervision Liability Expectations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain active and continuous supervision at all times.</li>\n<li>Failure to provide appropriate supervision may result in disciplinary action and potential personal liability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Assumption of Risk</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acknowledge inherent risks including outdoor hazards, physical activity, and environmental exposure.</li>\n<li>Follow all training and safety procedures to minimize risk.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum age: 18 years</li>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>Experience working with youth preferred</li>\n<li>Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Live Scan fingerprinting and background clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Certifications Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPR/First Aid (provided by SCC)</li>\n<li>Background check clearance (provided by SCC)</li>\n<li>Mandated Reporter Training (On-line training)</li>\n<li>Lifeguard (provided by SCC)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
